"The First Duty"

• Is anyone surprised that Wesley has allergies?
• Hey kids, it's Not Tom Paris!
• And we finally get to see Boothby.
• Captain Picard tells Boothby that he was part of the "Class of '27" (presumably 2327), placing his Starfleet career at the time of this episode at over four decades in length.
• Cadet Sito Jaxa will later become Ensign Sito Jaxa, a member of the Enterprise-D crew.  She...does not come to a good end.
• Starfleet Academy's flight trainers are apparently capable of at least 80,000 kph.  That's...really fast.  Around a quarter of the speed of light in a vacuum, in fact.
• "Ma'am, I need you to stop saying 'diamond slot'."
• Kolvoord Starburst:  Easily the worst flavor of Starburst.
• "I choose not to answer, sir."
  
  BALLS.
• Not Tom Paris a lot like Actual Tom Paris.
• "The First Duty":  In which Wesley totally gets held back a year.
